Future fundraising

The trust has spent a great deal of money to support our various research projects, as described elsewhere on this site, but our existing research programmes have all reached a point where no further funding is planned.

Therefore the trust is becoming a much smaller operation, and at present, we are not planning any further fundraising events.

The trust greatly appreciates all the work of all volunteers at fundraising events and all the donations it has received over the last decade, and we thank everyone for their generous support.

Bath Half Marathon

The Bath Half Marathon has been an important annual fundraising event for the Trust with a team entry every year up to 2008. Despite the gruelling training required, it is great fun on the day with a fantastic atmosphere running through the city. Unfortunately the Trust will not be able to organize a team event for subsequent years, but we hope that individual runners will still run and collect sponsorship on behalf of the Trust. You will feel a great sense of achievement in competing in the half marathon and at the same time you will be helping a local Bath charity continue its research into a dreadful disease. Information about a training schedule is detailed here and we’ve even included details about common running injuries and how to avoid them.
